Clio M is Clio Colombo's solo project and was born as a transformation of the duo Clio and Maurice in August 2022. Clio M has performed on several tours in France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy and Morocco; her music has been featured on Rolling Stone and the music video of the single 'Lost' was broadcast on MTV Music Italy throughout March 2020.
Her EP, 'Fragile', released in November 2020 under the name Clio and Maurice, was named one of the best 50 records of the year by Rockit, which described them as 'the Italian way to avant-pop'. In July 2022, he was featured in an editorial on Schön! Magazine, in which she announced her forthcoming debut as a solo artist.
Her first record, co-written with Martin Nicastro and produced by Giuliano Pascoe, takes inspiration in the experimental work of pop icons such as Björk and FKA twigs, with a focus that is both political and existential, deeply inspired by the interpretative and compositional energy of Nina Simone. The album also features the artist AnyOther on two tracks ('Tiles' and 'Tabula').
